Confidence doesn’t mean feeling completely ready. Sometimes, it means trusting yourself and going for it anyway.
In this four-week specialty series, guest instructor Meg Bentley will lead students through musical theatre dance and choreography, exploring musicality, storytelling, expression, and performance while incorporating The Secret Dance Technique’s intentional confidence-building framework.
Each week, students will learn and dance musical theatre choreography while being encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, make bold performance choices, express themselves, perform even when they feel nervous, and keep going when things don’t go perfectly.
Through intentional confidence-building activities and reflection, students will explore how the skills they practice through dance can transfer into everyday life — whether that means speaking up, trying something new, performing, meeting new people, or going for something before they feel completely ready.
The live online format and intentionally small group provide a supportive environment where students can really go for it from the comfort of home. Every student has opportunities to participate, perform, connect, and be seen.
Whether your child is newer to dance and nervous about performing or has been training for years and could use an extra confidence boost, this series is designed to strengthen confidence both in dance and in life.
