What a Class Looks Like

1. Life Skill Focus –Life skills are explored first through dance. We start with a short discussion, game, or icebreaker highlighting the weekly skill. Each life skill is drawn from one of the 4 Pillars:

  • Mindset: Growth mindset, confidence, resilience, motivation

  • Social-Emotional Learning: Emotional and social intelligence, stress management

  • Memory & Focus: Memory techniques, focus strategies, goal setting, habit formation

  • Creativity: Adaptability, problem-solving, innovation, divergent thinking

2. Dance & Practice – Students practice flexibility, dance steps, and choreography. Life skills are reinforced throughout, showing that learning through dance is fun, active, and meaningful.

3. Reflection & Connection Beyond Dance–We wrap up with reflection and goal-setting. Students celebrate accomplishments, review their practice, and explore how life skills apply beyond dance. Parents receive a brief summary with insights and goals for the week. Students leave energized, inspired, and ready to carry their skills beyond the dance floor.
